Waxing Precautions & Considerations

You must wait a minimum of seven (7) days before waxing after a light chemical peel or microdermabrasion. 


Waxing cannot be performed if you have had laser skin resurfacing within the past year. 


Waxing cannot be performed if you have had a physician administered peel within the past two (2) years.


 Sunburned, irritated areas, cold sores, and moles cannot be waxed. 


 Please note that waxing can have certain side effects such as skin removal, redness, swelling, tenderness, etc.

These products can make the skin more sensitive. Thin, sensitive skin is more vulnerable to lifting and sensitivity during waxing.


Accutane (Acne medication); Adapalene (Acne medication); Alustra, Avita, Renova, or Tretinoin (Generic Retin A); Retin A (Acne and Anti-aging medication); Differin (Acne medication); Isotretinoin (See Accutane); Avage, Tazarotene, or Tazarac (Acne medication)

**any other acne medication not listed above**


**must be off of Accutane for at least 6 months**


**must be off of all other medications listed for minimum 3 months

Oral Antibiotics; Topical Antibiotics; Retinol (Vitamin A); Salicylic Acid;  Alpha Hydroxy Acids (Glycolic, Lactic);

 During your treatment I'm always in a face mask  and gloves when appropriate. All linens and top blankets are replaced after each treatment.  Our industry is built on sanitation and safety so it's nothing new to us! 


If you are sick please do not come in for your services.

Please keep in mind that for small businesses in the service industry, Cancellation Policies are put in place to protect the business. Businesses do not profit from a cancellation fee.


It is meant as a deterrent. It is meant as a gentle reminder to respect our time and the health of the business. Cancelation policies are not meant to  punish or bully clients. 


Emergencies happen and I will work with you if that's the case. 


  If you do not feel well please reschedule. If you are SICK there will be no cost or fee to you. But your appointments will be rescheduled

If I or my family are not well, I will not be in and I will extend a discount on your next service. 


***IF YOU TELL ME YOU'RE NOT SICK, BUT YOU LOOK AND OR SOUND SICK I WILL CANCEL YOUR SERVICE AND YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CANCELLATION FEE***

At the time of your online booking, you are prompted and required by the the system to  make a 50% DEPOSIT in order to hold the appointment. 


The deposit will go towards your total payment of services. It'll be held as a no show fee if you do not arrive or cancel with less than 24 hours notice.


Cancellation fees are only charged for appointments that are cancelled less than 24hours from start of appointment or if client does not arrive for services/NO SHOWS . 


If the client arrives so late that the service cannot even start, it is then a same day cancellation and the fee will be charged. 


 The  SAME DAY CANCELLATION/NO SHOW FEE will be waived if I can fill your time slot or if I can get you in on the SAME DAY-later time slot

Arriving late to a service affects my ability to service other clients scheduled after you.  I cannot guarantee a full treatment if you arrive 15 minutes late or more.

Enter through the red door with the OFFICE sign. I am on the second floor. Upon arrival feel free to use the restroom prior to starting your service.


IF MY DOOR IS CLOSED WITH A DO NOT DISTURB SIGN that means I'm finishing up with a client. Feel free to wait in your vehicle or in the hallway.


There is plenty of visitor parking near the entrance as well as the rear of the building. Please park in the VISITOR spots.  Do not park in the RESERVED spots.


You CAN park in MY SPACE #202 if it's available

Skin & Soma is a 230 sq. ft. space with beds, expensive equipment, and products. I love children and I love supporting woman trying to juggle it all (as a mom of 2...I get it) 

SO...

Newborns & babies that are in car seats are allowed.


*NO STROLLERS ALLOWED, WE ARE ON SECOND FLOOR WITH NO ELEVATORS.
